Happy-hourers across the U.S. will raise a shaker and a toast on September 12, 2005, to provide much-needed funds for its sister city in distress, New Orleans, during the “Save New Orleans Cocktail Hour.”

The Sazerac, Pimm's Cup, Comfort Julep, Vieux Carre, Ramos’ Gin Fizz, Obituary Cocktail, French 75, Hurricane, and Brandy Milk Punch are signature drinks shaken up in the Crescent City’s finest establishments. On Monday, September 12th these classics will be offered for $10 per drink between the hours of 5:00pm and 7:00pm. Receipts from the Save New Orleans Cocktail Hour will be donated to a special tax-deductible relief fund established by the Museum of the American Cocktail. 100% of all monies received will be distributed directly to the workers and their families who apply for aid through the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau.
